If you considering employment in care sector looking after for our most vulnerable and helping them remain independent by staying in their own homes, then this course may be for you.

This course is specifically designed to meet the requirements of the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) so you can register with them as a Care and Support Worker.




Entry Requirements

5 relevant subjects at National 5 including English and preferably Maths, or a relevant qualification at SCQF Level 5 such as NC Health and Social Care. A place on the course is subject to an interview process.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.

Progression Routes

This course should assist you to become a more confident and effective worker and perhaps go onto more advanced work based qualifications and/or promoted posts.
