Childhood Practice is an evening course designed for people interested in developing their career options in the early education, childcare or playwork sectors. This course will allow you to gain additional credits to progress onto the PDA Childhood Practice course at SCQF Level 9.
During this course, you will be taught by highly qualified and experienced lecturers and have individual support from Edinburgh College allowing you to progress professionally and academically. This course will give you a deep understanding of professional practice in the early learning and childcare sector and how legislation policy and frameworks should be used effectively to ensure children and young people are supported and valued. You will learn:

You must have an award accepted by Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) to register as a practitioner. You should have been working in the childhood practice sector for at least six months.
