You will initially be introduced to manual book-keeping procedures and will record transactions up to trial balance you will also set up SAGE Line 50 software for a company and set up supplier, customer and nominal accounts. The course will also allow you to process business transactions (invoices, credit notes, bank transactions) in accounting records including day books, cash book and ledger accounts and produce month-end trial balance and other output reports. Students will also learn how to back up and restore company data files.
There are no formal entry requirements, although core skills in Numeracy and IT are highly desirable.
On completion of this course, you may be able to seek employment as a finance administrator. You may also be able to progress to NC Accounting or other similar courses.
