This is an optional Unit within HNC/HND Administration and Information Technology course, but is also included within other HN Group Awards and can be taken as a stand-alone Unit. It is designed to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills for further study or employment in an administrative or IT/Business environment, and will provide you with knowledge and understanding of marketing and its use in organisations.
It explains the influence of the external environment and the importance of market research when making marketing decisions. It also introduces the concept of segmentation and target marketing, and will help to develop your understanding of the marketing mix in the context of both products and services.
