The European Computer Driving Licence has recently rebranded and is known as the International Certification of Digital Literacy – ICDL for short.
It is the internationally recognised qualification for computer users, and is widely recognised by employers as proof of ability and competence when working with IT.
This is the next step of the ICDL qualification – ideally for those progressing from the Level 1 qualification – and would be of interest to those who work with computers but don’t have any formal qualifications, or for those who simply wish to extend their knowledge.
The course covers core IT applications which are commonly used in many businesses around the world, and completing this qualification will improve your understanding of these applications whilst teaching you how to use the software efficiently. If employed the course will help you prove to your employer that you can use these applications productively and professionally, and if you are unemployed the course will help you to gain important skills to help improve your job prospects.
No formal entry requirements. All students are assigned a login to Microsoft 365 which includes online access to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2016at no extra cost. Microsoft Access is available in the College Libraries.
