This course is aimed at people who wish to pursue a career working with community groups and who are already, or would like to become involved in community based development work.
The course provides a nationally recognised qualification and is designed to provide qualifications and credit for skills, qualities and knowledge developed through experience of working within the community. Students will undertake a placement in the statutory or the voluntary sector doing community work, youth work or adult education to give them valuable practical experience.
Content:
We offer the opportunity to study two nights a week to achieve three Higher National Units that make up the group award. The units are as follows:
Youth Work – Understanding and Exploring Youth Work
Youth Work – Engaging with Young People
Youth Work – Delivering Youth Work
