Do you enjoy working with horses and would you like to find out more about their needs and how to manage them? This is a 2-year programme of study and is an ideal starting point for anyone wanting to work in the equine sector.

A wide range of topic areas including:

Horse identification and handling a quiet horse safely; Assist with grooming a quiet horse; Tack and tacking up; Stable routine; Horse health; Watering and feeding; Tacking up for ridden competition work; Horse care: lunging; Horse care: trimming, turnout and clipping.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements but knowledge of the subject area would be beneficial.
