This bridging course is designed to provide you with a solid foundation through a series of modules ranging from Thermofluids to Engineering Principles as well as providing a good grounding in Mathematics. It combines a strong basis for support in engineering techniques to provide a complementary blend of skills required to solve mechanical engineering problems in a wide variety of fields, such as the traditional energy and renewable energy, manufacturing and transport sectors.

Content: Evaluation of formulae; Quadratic equations; Simultaneous equations; Indices; Trigonometry and functions; Scaling factors and units; Areas and volumes; Newton's Laws; Measurement acceleration, force and mass; Energy and laws; Gas laws; Practice test papers.
