n your first year of study you will follow the HNC Electrical Engineering course, as well as the opportunity to study advanced units in mathematics. At the end of the HNC course, you could progress onto the HND Electrical Engineering course, or you could progress into employment with a highly valued HNC qualification.

If you progress onto the HND Electrical Engineering course, you will also have the opportunity to study further advanced units in mathematics. At the end of the HND course, providing you meet the articulation requirements, you could progress to year 3 and 4 of a specific BEng (Hons) degree courses at any of the following partner Universities:

You will study: DC and AC principles; Electrical machine principles; Three phase systems; Electricity power systems; Electrical networks; Programmable logic controllers (PLCs); Electrical testing; Engineering Mathematics 1, 2 (3 is optional); Communications practical skills; Combinational logic;
Fundamentals of control systems; Graded Unit

Entry Requirements

Higher Maths plus 1 from Engineering Science or Physics; or Foundation Apprenticeship: Engineering; or NC Electrical Engineering (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
