This vocational qualification introduces you to the world of make-up artistry. The course includes units in the following areas; Basic Make-Up; Photographic Make-Up; Nail Care; Skin Care; Face Painting; Nail Art; Health and Safety; Professional Appearance in a Salon and Shampoo and Conditioning Hair and Basic Hair Styling.

The skills gained within the course will introduce you to becoming a make-up artist with a range of skills in all areas of the profession.

Throughout this qualification, you will develop knowledge and understanding of relevant communications and introduce you to the make-up artistry sector incorporating hair and beauty skills.

Entry Requirements

2 subjects at National 4 preferred but not essential. You must have a keen interest in beauty therapy. Interview and pre-entry test.

Progression Routes

This course allows a possible progression on to Level 3 Make-up Artistry. The skills gained within this course can also allow for progression on to VTCT Level 2 Beauty Therapy.
