This course will teach you the essential skills you will need to progress to a construction management position. You will study a range of vital industry areas such as site surveying, estimating and construction planning. You will be taught by staff with extensive experience in the construction industry. You will gain a key understanding of standard building contracts and learn about the latest construction technologies.

Building Services in Large Buildings; Construction Materials and Specifications; Construction Site Surveying A; Construction Technology: Substructure; Construction Technology: Industrial/Commercial; Superstructure; Site Administration; Standard Forms of Construction Contracts; Health and Safety in Construction; Construction Management: Graded Unit 1; Computer-Aided Design (CAD) 2D I; Building Measurement and Cost Studies; Construction Planning.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher plus National 5 Maths and employment as a technician in the construction industry.
