Celtic Studies: Access to Higher Education (SWAP)

Content

Part of the Scottish Wider Access Programme (SWAP), this course offers a unique learning experience to adults aged 18 or over, with few or no qualifications. If students complete the course successfully, they can progress to higher education.

Students can choose to study one of the three course strands: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Celtic Studies, and Primary Education.

Content:

Communication; History; ICT; Literature; Core Maths; Philosophy; Politics and Political Theory; Psychology; Sociology; Academic Skills; Research Methods.

Entry Requirements

Over 18 during year of study, applicants should have been out of education for five years at SCQF Level 6 and three years at SCQF Level 5. Special circumstances will be taken into consideration.
