Topics covered include health and safety, establishing and maintaining plants, lawn care, machinery, plant protection and plant identification. Learners normally take around 18 months to complete the SVQ at SCQF Level 5. Pa1, Pa6 spraying certificates and emergency first aid are also covered (this may incur additional cost if not on our Modern Apprentice programme).
Applicants are required to be employed within horticulture or a related industry and must have the ability to work at SCQF Level 5 or above.
