This course is for prospective students, keen on a professional role in the construction industry, or for experienced construction operatives, who are looking to up-skill and enhance their promotion prospects.
The course focuses on the key knowledge required by a construction technician, site supervisor/agent/manager, to provide a strong grounding in construction methods, procedures, organisation and contractual arrangements.
You will learn contemporary technical roles, currently required by the construction industry:
Substructures; Domestic Construction; Construction Site Surveying; Modern Methods and Sustainable Construction; Structural Mechanics; Building Science.
Attendance: Monday 9.00am - 4.15pm.
1 Higher plus relevant subjects at National 5 including a science or technological subject, or relevant Foundation Apprenticeship, or NC Built Environment, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6.
