Stirling Campus
This is a combination of two courses over a 1 year period. Your finish date for both courses will be August 2024. You don’t need to apply for the second course, you will be automatically enrolled onto it. The first course, is Level 5 Hospitality Services (SVQ), the 2nd course is Level 6 Hospitality Supervision (City and Guilds.) You cannot do one part of the course without the other.
This exciting course is designed to allow students to gain the skills they need to deliver a great dining experience, learn Front Office Skills using a live Hospitality Reservation system and gain an introduction to Hospitality finance and costing. It also gives fantastic experience for students who would like to progress to a career in Hospitality Management and Supervision, as this forms the second part of the qualification.
You will be gaining experience in highly rated, industry standard work environments which will develop your employability skills and give you the opportunity to learn and perfect your skills.
Course content includes:
Menu Knowledge, Design and Resources; Service of Hot Beverages/Barista Skills; Food and Beverage Skills including Wine and Cocktails; Handling Payments; Hospitality Costing; Front Office Operations (Reception); Housekeeping; Food and Beverage Supervision (Level 3).
2 subjects at National 4. Interview.
