NQ Introduction to Hairdressing with Make-up Artistry is an introductory programme which gives an insight into the hairdressing industry and offers hands-on, basic, practical hairdressing skills in ladies hair cutting, colouring, and styling to not only develop your knowledge and skills but also your creativity and flair.

The addition of an introduction to fashion make-up techniques will give you the opportunity to combine your talents in both hair and make-up.

Throughout the course you will work through client consultation techniques and written and computer skills will be embedded to give you a platform to progress to further study.

Units include:
Introduction to hair cutting skills; Introduction to hair colouring skills; Introduction to makeup skills; Working in the salon; Employability; Creativity.

Entry Requirements

National 4 English. Interview and skills test.
