This introductory Accounting course is designed to provide you with a good grounding in the accounting skills required for business. Successfully completing this course allows you to progress on to an Access to HND Accounting course and then on to Higher National course in accounting or potentially to jobs at an introductory level in an accounting or business organisation.

Content:
Financial accounting; Management accounting; Preparing final accounts; Recording cash and financial transactions; Introduction to book-keeping; Information Technology (spreadsheet, database, word processing); Introduction to spreadsheets.

Entry Requirements

3 subjects at National 4 including English and a maths based subject. Relevant work experience will be considered. Entry is subject to interview.
