The aim of this course is to enable learners to understand why people use care services, and to develop the knowledge and value base required for working in contemporary care practice in settings such as health care and social.

You will learn about:
Human Development and Behaviour; First Aid; Dementia Awareness; Employability Skills; Health and Wellbeing; Literacy; Numeracy.

Entry Requirements

1 subject at National 4 preferred. Interview and Personal Statement.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.

Progression Routes

Successful completion of this course can lead to being able to progress on to a higher level course in the college or may result in gaining employment
