The MSc Satellite Applications is a globally unique Masters degree which addresses the UN Sustainable Development Goals through satellite applications, entrepreneurship and data science. This is a novel opportunity to acquire specialist skills in satellite applications that will significantly enhance your skill sets, ultimately enabling you to become a global entrepreneur.

The programme offers training in satellite data acquisition, processing, interpretation, and application. Additionally, the course provides a focus on data science and entrepreneurship skills, requiring you to register a new business while studying for the MSc and to develop a business plan to support it using the UN Sustainable Development Goals as a broad range of global challenges to provide a basis for this plan.

This MSc in Satellite Applications has an optional Data Science specialist stream for those wishing to acquire more advanced skills in big data applications.

Entry Requirements

First or second-class Honours degree, or equivalent, in engineering or physical sciences, or any other relevant discipline such as geography, geoscience, environmental science and computer science. Good knowledge of programming is desirable and basic knowledge in programming is highly-desirable.
