This course offers the chance to learn the basic skills needed for photography. You will be instructed in the use of industry-standard lighting equipment and be given advice on Portfolio Preparation.

The course will cover units such as Camera techniques, Portraiture, Basic Studio Photography, Digital Imaging and others. A 35mm Digital DSLR will be provided when required for the duration of the course.

In this course you will learn how to work a digital camera and how to manage digital files. You will have an introduction to post production using Adobe Photoshop and have an insight into colour management. You will also do Portraiture and Basic Studio Photography.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 preferably including Art and Design. Interview and portfolio.
