Are you looking to progress into our mainstream full time courses in Science, Animal Science or Health Care? But you don't have the initial qualifications for entry.

This course will give you the academic baseline to progress to our level 5 courses in August 2020.

You might be a Mature student looking for a real change in direction or a recent school leaver, what ever your background this course could be your springboard to your new career.

You will complete units from the STEM and Health Care sectors including the following:-

Science Practical Skills, Working Safely, The Science of Renewable Energy: An Introduction, Nature’s Chemistry, Radiations, Sound and Music, Health and Technology, Introducing Science Investigation Skills, Health Sector: Life Sciences Industry, Values and Principles, Human development and Behaviour, Personal and Social Heath.

Entry Requirements

Minimum 4 subjects at National 4. A real interest in a career in STEM or Health Care.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.

Progression Routes

The course is designed for progression to the Level 5 Applied Science and Care at National 5. qualification or for applicants to seek employment within the care sector following successful completion.
