According to Engineering UK, 124,000 engineers and technicians with core engineering skills will be required each year in the UK alone, and this course has been specifically designed for anyone who wishes to begin a career in the automotive, mechanical, electrical, fabrication and welding, or manufacturing engineering industries.
During this course, you will work towards achieving two recognised SQA group awards - National 4 Skills for Work Engineering and National 4 Practical Electronics. You will undertake a variety of mechanical and electrical engineering skills, to assist you to find the area that is right for you. You will develop your practical skills and knowledge with a hands-on approach throughout. As well as working towards recognised SQA engineering and technology qualifications you will gather a wide range of practical experience including real-life situations you could encounter in an industry role.
National 3 preferably one at National 4, English, Maths and preferably a technological subject. Interview and aptitude test.
