This course is ideal for students starting out in engineering as it provides practical hands-on training and focuses on improving broad-based practical skills and knowledge with a hands-on approach. Practical skills covered include assembly, fitting, engineering drawing using a project based learning model. You will gain SQA Engineering skills units, practical experience and case studies of real life situations and problems you could encounter in an engineering job role.

During this programme you will work towards achieving the following 3 SQA components at SCQF Level 5 including Skills for Work Engineering framework, Skills for Work Energy framework, and Core Skills (Communications, Numeracy, ICT & Local Investigations).

Entry Requirements

National 4 English, Maths and preferably Physics or a technological subject. Interview and aptitude test.
