The Introduction to Massage and Complementary Therapies Course will ensure that you have a sound introduction to skills required to study at higher levels in Massage/Complementary and Holistic Health and Wellbeing areas. You will gain experience in basic massage techniques, essential skills required for working in an holistic, complementary therapy environment, self-development and self-help techniques. While this course has a large amount of practical work, there is also a theoretical element in the form of tutor led sessions and research projects.

Subjects may include:

Massage techniques: Back, neck and shoulder massage; Salon skills; Introduction to foot massage; Introduction to Holistic skin care; Applying practical skills; Practical Skills Development; Communication.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 4 or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. Entry is subject to interview.
