The MSc Community Education offers an exciting and innovative opportunity for advanced study based around community learning practice and inquiry. The course is offered as a workplace based, blended learning course of study using online materials and communication media, with study workshops and tutor support.

The course will have flexible entry and exit points and can be studied either as a CLD qualifying course, accredited by the CLD Standards Council for Scotland, or as continuing professional development (CPD) with optional modules including Organisational Management, Community Engagement, Interprofessional Collaboration and Action Research. The options available include modules in Family Learning, Literacies and Arts & Communities.

Entry Requirements

You need provide evidence of at least two years prior experience in a community education or related setting and must be employed in a paid or voluntary capacity for a minimum of 20 hours per week for the duration of the course. You must also gain the consent of your employer to join the course and must identify a suitably qualified Mentor to support you.
