This course is targeted at aspiring and current managers who want to develop their managerial competences in the key functional areas of a business, with an enhanced skill set in the management of people.
Stage 1:
You will increase your understanding of how and why business operates in the way that it does. You will develop your knowledge of the basic elements and techniques of change and resilience and further your knowledge and practice of the management and development of people in the workplace. You will reinforce your professional and transferable skills in interpersonal communication and teamwork.
You can exit after stage 1 with PgCert Business and Management.
Stage 2:
You will critically review and manipulate a range of analytical tools to support strategic decision-making. You develop your awareness and understanding of business economics and will learn tools and techniques associated with managing the finances of an organisation and develop skills necessary to the creation of a business.
You can exit after stage 2 with a PgDip Business and Management.
Stage 3:
The Capstone module is designed to provide you with an opportunity to integrate master's level knowledge and skills by independently working on an applied academic study or business consultancy project from a degree related discipline. Personal and professional skills such as research, oral presentation and teamwork will be developed.
A 2:2 honours degree in any subject. Applicants with a lower degree classification and / or relevant work experience will be considered on a case by case basis.
