Content

This course focuses on topical health issues including sociology, psychology, public health, rural health issues and health care ethics. If you are looking to follow a career in health or social work, or you’d like to specialise in a particular area, this course is for you.

In the first year you will be introduced to the many factors that influence health and wellbeing. You can then progress to the generic rural health or health and welfare stream of the degree.

The second and third years allow you to tailor your course to subjects of specialist interest, depending on whether you choose the Health Studies, Rural Health, or Health and Welfare route.

Entry Requirements

3 Highers at C or above, or Foundation Apprenticeship Social Services and Healthcare plus 1 Higher, or relevant qualification at SCQF Level 6 or above.
