Hairdressing Level 5 covers the essential skills for someone wishing to develop their skills, with a view to a career in the hairdressing industry. The course is suitable for those seeking a new career change or challenge. Students will gain knowledge and expertise in the basic skills of hairdressing to enable them to progress onto Hairdressing Level 6. The course content places an emphasis on the employability skills and attitudes which will help to prepare the candidate for the workplace.
Skills will be developed in -
Selling Skills; Shampooing, Conditioning and Scalp Massage; Blow Drying Techniques; Mix, Apply and Remove Colour; Setting and Winding Techniques for Hair; Skills for Work.
Core skills will be included within the course programme.
NQ Hair and Beauty (Level 4). Interview, portfolio and practical test.
