The programme provides knowledge, understanding and skills in a range of engineering studies including Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics disciplines. The award is a vocational qualification designed to prepare the candidate for employment, career development and progression to higher level study.

NC Engineering Units at SCQF Level 6, which include:
Thermofluids, Electrical Principles, Mechanical Engineering Principles, Engineering Systems,
Engineering Dynamics, Computer Aided Draughting; Pneumatics and Hydraulics.

Plus additional Turning, Milling and Bench-fitting practical skills.

Entry Requirements

Maths and a science subject at National 5. Relevant industrial experience and training.

Progression Routes

HNC Engineering Systems then onto relevant degree level study
