This course will allow you to explore a variety of technologies in this digital world and understand the underlying concepts. You will be introduced to a selection of areas that impact aspects of all our daily lives including Basic Computing Concepts, Software Development, Data Science, Relational Database Principles, Internet of Things, Statistics and Artificial Intelligence.

Mandatory units are: Digital skills; Professional practice in computing.

Optional units may include: Computer science; Software development; Database; Statistics; Big data; Internet of things; Artificial intelligence; and Emerging technologies.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher plus 2 subjects at National 5, or relevant NQ, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.

Second year of HND Computing programmes.
