This is a course primarily aimed at returning adults who have been out of mainstream education for some time or people who have few or no academic qualifications and who are keen to access Higher Education/University but who may not be able to do so via the traditional routes.
The course offers a supportive learning experience to study SQA units which have been agreed with SWAP (Scottish Wider Access Programme). It is an exciting and interesting course which includes the opportunity to study a variety of subjects, with the aim of progressing to Higher Education/university the following year.

Students who have been out of formal education and with few or no qualifications may be considered for this course or students who are looking for a complete change of direction.
The course is supported through SWAP (Scottish Wider Access Programme). All eligible applicants will be invited for interview. For SWAP registration, please see the SWAP website to check individual eligibility.
HNC/D or Degree. On completion of Access to Law, Business & Finance, you may gain the minimum SWAP registration requirements to articulate to university or alternatively may progress to study at HNC/D level.
Those students not eligible for SWAP registration can only progress to study at HNC/D level.
