This course is suited for school leavers who would like to learn more about the Hospitality Industry.

This course is an opportunity for students to gain basic skills for chefs with excellent career opportunities and progression routes open to those who successfully achieve the qualification. This course gives students an opportunity to prepare, cook and serve a range of dishes.

This course is an excellent introductory qualification for students wishing to pursue a career in the dynamic, popular, fast-paced and exciting world of professional cookery. It is structured to help develop the skills, knowledge, and understanding you'll need to secure employment within a professional kitchen in the Hospitality Industry.

There is also an opportunity during the year to work and live abroad for two weeks.

Progression Routes

Upon completion of this course you can progress to Professional Chef or Hospitality Operations both SCQF level 5 or or into a professional kitchen as a junior chef/restaurant as a team member or your culinary education.
