The course progresses from HNC and allows you to study mechanical engineering to a professional standard. On completion of this course you'll typically go to university, or move into industry as supervisors or technician.

The course is structured to include a mix of practical and theory-based subjects that will provide you with the tools to function successfully within the engineering field. This course includes the following:

Engineering Maths 3,4 and 5; Engineering Skills; CNC Machining; Autodesk Inventor; Design for Manufacture; Plant Systems; Statics and Strength of Materials Advanced; Applied Industrial Plant Maintenance; Heat Transfer and Fluid Mechanics; Economics of Manufacture; Graded Unit Project.
