This course will give you the essential knowledge and skills required to thrive in the exciting and ever-evolving digital industry sector.

Starting with front-end web development using HTML and CSS, Digital Graphics and applying the theory of User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design, you will build the necessary skills to take a web project from conception to completion, delivering content for laptop, desktop, tablets and phones.

Building on these skills you’ll learn native JavaScript and how to develop a Content Management System (CMS) website using WordPress. Back-end web development will be introduced using PHP and MySQL to develop a working search facility on a website.

You will be given the opportunity to develop employability skills by team working and involvement with real clients and web projects.

Entry Requirements

1 Higher; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5 or 6. Entry subject to interview.
