SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF Level 7 allows you to evidence that you can meet the National Standards drawn up for work in social care at practitioner level. It is one of the qualifications specified by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), which meets the registration criteria for social care workers.
The SVQ at SCQF Level 7 awards each involve completion of 8 units, 3 of which are contained in the HNC Social Care. These include a focus on communicating for and about individuals, health and safety, and reflecting on and developing practice. Other units will be relevant to work in particular social care settings.
Minimum age 18 years. SVQ at SCQF Level 6 or equivalent qualification. An appropriate job role that meets the requirements for evidencing practice at SVQ at SCQF Level 7. A minimum of 120 hours relevant care experience.
