This course is aimed at those who wish to work in the mechanical, electrical, fabrication and welding, or manufacturing engineering industries, or as a mechanic in the automotive industry and focuses on improving broad-based practical skills and knowledge with a hands-on approach throughout.

You will gain the EAL Level 1 Engineering and Technology qualification. During this pre-apprenticeship qualification you will gain a wide range of practical experience with some examples of the situations you could face in an industry role. The course is open to both school leavers and those looking to change or further their careers.

Entry Requirements

1 subject at National 4 and 2 at National 3 including English, Maths and a technological subject; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 3 or 4. Interview and aptitude test.
