This is a broad-based course which will introduce you to a range of computing-related subjects and is designed to provide you with useful foundations for a successful career in computing and technology.

You will study: Introduction to software development; Troubleshooting computing problems; Computer systems fundamentals; Professionalism and ethics in computing; Team Working in computing; Configuring and maintaining hardware; Computing: graded unit (exam); Cloud computing.

Entry Requirements

1 relevant Higher plus 4 subjects at National 5; or Foundation Apprenticeship IT Hardware and System Support or IT Software Development plus 4 subjects at National 5; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview.
