This is an exciting and hands-on computing course suitable for school leavers or mature students who want to develop the key computing skills required to progress on to a number of HND courses.

Throughout the course you will use industry standard software such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Flash and Fireworks and programming and scripting languages such as Javascript and Python.

You will study: Computer hardware and operating systems; Designing and developing websites; Network literacy; Applications development; Personal development; Numeracy and communication; Data security; Computing project; Apps for good; Academic skills.

You can choose to follow one of two pathways: Software/Web Development or Networking/Technical Support.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5, preferably including Computing Science, or Intermediate Certificate: Computing with Digital Media, or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Interview.
