Content

This course will help you to engage with digital trends in graphic design and illustration. You will gain a realistic, industry-standard knowledge of the creative processes involved in graphic design and illustration, utilising current, specialist software and hardware, and experience of the client/designer relationship.

Content includes:

Graphic Design; Illustration; Digital Imaging; Digital Media; Design Semantics; Development Drawing; Creative Process; Mixed Media, Art and Design Context; Cultural Identity, Creative Project, for Artists and Designers; Portfolio Production.

Entry Requirements

Advanced Higher or Higher Art and Design plus National 5 English (if not held at Higher) or NQ Art and Design: Portfolio Preparation (Level 6); or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Entry by interview and portfolio of work.

Progression Routes

Degree course or career as technician, community art worker or a junior managerial position.
