The Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ 4) in Care Services Leadership and Management at SCQF Level 10 recognises the knowledge and skills required from candidates working in management within the care sector.

This SVQ has been designed to meet the Scottish Social Services Council registration requirements for care managers.

Core units include:
Manage and develop yourself and your workforce within care services; Lead and manage practice that promotes the safeguarding of individuals; Lead and manage practice for health and safety in the work setting; Lead and manage effective communication systems and practice

Optional units may include:
4 optional units based on workplace



Entry Requirements

Relevant HNC or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 8. Experience of supervisory management. Interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
