This mechanical engineering course is suitable if you already work in engineering and would like to develop your skills and competence to a higher level, helping you progress towards engineering status.

Units include: Thermofluids; Statics and Strength of Materials; Dynamics; Engineering Drawing; Engineering Principles; Material Selection; CAD for Engineers; Communication: Practical Skills; Engineering Mathematics 1; Pneumatics and Hydraulics; Quality Management: An Introduction; Mechanical Engineering: Graded Unit 1 Examination; IT Software Applications; Engineering Mathematics 2; Engineering Mathematics 3.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers from English, Maths, Physics or a science or technological subject, or an NC in an appropriate discipline. Relevant experience will be considered if the standard entry requirements are not met. Entry subject to interview and pre-entry test.
