HNC Engineering Practice with PDA in Manufacturing is designed to provide an insight in to trade specific skills. You will study core units in computer numerical control, mechanical engineering principles, engineering measurement and computer aided draughting for engineers. You will also be required to do two optional units. These will most likely be pneumatics and material selection. In tandem with the units required for the HNC we will teach you the principles of quality management, value engineering and production planning and control. This will be assessed with the graded unit at the end of the year.

Higher Maths or Physics; 4 subjects at National 5 including Maths or Physics; or NC Engineering Systems (Level 6); or NC Electrical Engineering; or NC Mechanical Engineering
