This is a one year course that provides you with an industry recognised qualification and the knowledge and skills necessary to work as a Soft Tissue Therapist. You will be using a range of modalities to treat the soft tissues of a variety of sports people participating at recreational to elite level performance. There will be opportunities to work with local sports clubs, businesses and also the wider college community through our clinics and health and well-being initiatives as well as supporting national and international sporting events. These opportunities will assist you in gaining the required number of practice hours in order to demonstrate your competence in a variety of relevant techniques. This course offers a 1st Aid qualification and the potential opportunity to gain a specific award that will enable you to work pitch side.

Entry Requirements

2 Highers, preferably English and a science subject; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 6. Interview and practical test.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
