The NC Mechanical course equips you with a technical knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles required to work in the manufacturing and ship building trades.

You'll learn about:
Communication Core Skill Unit, Mathematics: Technician 1, Engineering: Applying Information Technology, Statistics, Engineering Dynamics: An Introduction, Thermofluids, Engineering Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Engineering Dimensional Control, CAD for Engineers, Engineering Materials, Graphical Engineering Communication.

Entry Requirements

English, Maths and a science or technological subject at National 5; or SVQ Pre-Apprentice: Performing Engineering Operations at SCQF Level 5; or other relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

HNC Mechanical, HNC Engineering Systems or Modern Apprenticeship.
