This course is based upon both Mechanical and Electrical with Renewables

You'll learn about:
Engineering Workshop Skills; Electrical Wiring Skills; Craft Maths Level 1 and 2; Engineering: Using IT; Communication; Engineering System Principles; Engineering Systems Test and Measure;
Engineering Systems Application; Energy: An Introduction; Energy: Domestic Solar Hot Water Systems; Energy: Solar Systems; Computer Aided Draughting (CAD) for Engineers; Graphical Engineering Communication; Electrical Principles.

Entry Requirements

National 5 English, Maths and a science or technological subject or SVQ Pre-Apprentice Engineering: Performing Engineering Operations at SCQF Level 5. Entry subject to interview.

Progression Routes

After successfully completing this course you'll have the skills required to apply for Modern Apprenticeships which exist within the following engineering sectors: aerospace; manufacturing; electrical power; renewable energies, engineering maintenance, engineering design and process engineering.
