A one year vocational qualification for aspiring professionals, supervisors and managers who wish to achieve CIH Chartered Membership (CIHCM). Chartered status is a demonstration of housing expertise, commitment and ethical standards.

The qualification consists of the following units: Ethical practice in housing; Leadership and management in housing; Strategic and business planning for housing organisations; Housing in context; Managing relationships in housing; Professional practice skills in housing.

Provides learners with the knowledge and understanding across the key areas of housing practice at a recognised professional standard. The course provides the knowledge and skills required to perform in a senior management role.

Entry Requirements

Certificate in Housing Level 4 (CIH). You should be working in either a paid or voluntary capacity in housing.

Progression Routes

On completion of this course learners will be eligible for CIH Chartered Membership status (CIHCM) and can progress to University of Glasgow to undertake Housing Studies MSc/PgDip and undertake MSc, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate at University of Stirling.
