The qualification is for learners who have a childcare practitioner qualification and wish to develop their professional practice so they are able to provide better outcomes for children and young people. The course includes units on pedagogical approaches policy initiatives; leadership team working and collaborative practice. Learners can potentially progress to study childhood practice qualifications at SCOV Level 9.

Entry Requirements

Relevant HNC; or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 7.
