The programme is designed to lead directly from college to employment and aims to prepare you for a career in Health and Social Care.

The programme includes a work placement in a care setting.

The programme may include the following units:

Ensure Your Own Actions Support the Care; Protection and Well-Being of Individuals; Health, Safety and Protection Issues in Care Settings; Working in Health and Social Care Settings; Caring for People with Dementia; Values and Principles; Communication, Information and Communication Technology, Numeracy; The Human Body; Promoting Re-ablement and Mental Health Issues: An Introduction.

Entry Requirements

4 subjects at National 5 at B or relevant national qualifications at SCQF Level 5. You will attend for interview.

You will require a satisfactory criminal record check from Disclosure Scotland to show that you are suitable for this type of course. Contact Disclosure Scotland for details on the type you would need.
