Content

This course will offer those individuals interested in leading quality, a professional development award to extend professional skills and knowledge in early learning and childcare. This PDA will give learners the opportunity to use extensive work experience to advance their learning beyond that of the practitioner role and offer opportunity to enhance learners’ career prospects.

Content includes:

Effective leadership, team working and collaborative working; professional practice and understanding of theoretical concepts; and local, national and international policies and legal frameworks.

The course runs on a Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm.

Entry Requirements

Relevant qualification in early years practice, for example, HNC Childhood Practice. At least 2 years' experience as a practitioner or have a senior role. Work reference.

Progression Routes

Moving to senior roles in early childcare settings. Or further study at BA degree level depending on your qualifications.
