Content

Throughout this course you will be supported by a great team of qualified craftsmen as you work through the Certificates in Construction Skills (Electrical and Plumbing) at SCQF Level 4 (6619-08). Your introduction to the sectors focuses on practical electrical and plumbing installation work.

Content includes:
Introduction to health and safety in construction sector; main tools and equipment used by both trades and how to use them to carry out basic operations; PVC sheathed wiring systems, Hot and cold water systems (used for most house wiring and plumbing installs).

Entry Requirements

3 relevant subjects at National 4, or equivalent national qualifications at SCQF Level 4. A place on the course is subject to an interview process.

Progression Routes

Progression on to a relevant course at SCQF Level 5 such as Building Services with Plumbing or Electical (NPA), or employment.
